More Than This-Chapter Ten

*Christa’s POV*

I woke up the next morning to someone singing. I kept my eyes shut, listening.

“Dear Christa, won’t you come out to play?

Dear Christa, greet the brand new day

The sun is up, the sky is blue

It’s beautiful and so are you

Dear Christa, won’t you come out to play?

Dear Christa, open up your eyes

Dear Christa, see the sunny skies

The wind is low the birds will sing

That you are part of everything

Dear Christa, won’t you open up your eyes?

My eyes fluttered open slowly to see a smiling Liam. He was only wearing pajama bottoms.

Look around round

Dear Christa, let me see you smile

Dear Christa, like a little child

The clouds will be a daisy chain

So let me see you smile again

Dear Christa, won’t you let me see you smile?

Dear Christa, won’t you come out to play?

Dear Christa, greet the brand new day

Dear Christa, won’t you come out to play?” Liam sang.

I smiled at him, “Goodmorning to you too. The Beatles, huh?”

Liam’s smile grew as he knelt down, “Thought it’d be a nice way to start the day.”

I giggled, “I like that you used Christa instead of Prudence.”

“Your name is Christa if I’m not mistaken,” he replied, “Now, get out of bed.”

“But why?” I groaned, “can’t today be a lazy day?”

He laughed, “No, I’m taking you out.”

“You can’t drive,” I said.

He rolled his eyes, “The shops aren’t that far of a walk.”

“Have I ever told you that I’m lazy sometimes?” I said with a small smile.

“Babe, I will pick you up out of this bed. I don’t care if you sleep in underwear and a tshirt I will do it,” he said.

I laughed, “Well I don’t! Unless it’s summer. Sometimes.”

He smirked, “I should make your room boiling hot then next time.”

“Don’t you dare, Payne!” I exclaimed.

“Then get up!” he said.

I pouted and then sat up. Liam stood up and it was the first time that morning I had really looked at him. My gosh did he look good in the morning. Granted, he looked good any time of the day, but especially with his shirt off in the morning. I would not object to waking up to that every day.

“It’s not polite to stare, you know,” said Liam interrupting my thoughts.

I shook my head, “I wasn’t staring.”

“Then what were you doing?” he asked raising an eyebrow.

I got out of bed. 

“I spaced out,” I said simply.

It was true, I did space out, however I was also admiring his body, so to speak. I didn’t like the word “stare”.

“Breakfast first or?” I asked him.

“Get dressed, we’re going out for breakfast,” said Liam.

“Then get out,” I said smiling.

“Oh, thanks. I wake you up nicely and say I’m taking you out and I don’t even get a hug? Just kicked out. I see how it is,” Liam said as his puppy dog face took over.

Those damn puppy dog eyes. On any other guy I could resist them, but not on Liam.

I immediately collapsed against his chest. My arms wrapped around him. He was so warm. I heard him chuckle as his arms engulfed me in a tight embrace. I felt his lips touch the top of my head as he planted a soft kiss there. 

“Much better,” he whispered.

We stood there for a while, just hugging. I heard his heart beat. It was soothing. I was completely relaxed and felt as if I could stay in his arms forever.

He let go the same time as I did.

He smiled down at me, “Now, I’ll meet you downstairs later. Don’t take too long.”

He walked out of the room closing the door in the process.

I know it’s short, but this is all I could write out without writer’s block hitting me once again. However, now that I know where I want to go with it, Chapter Eleven will be up on Thursday. Thanks for understanding and being patient! Love you all! xx
